These are fantastic cans for the money. The sound is not quite as precise or spacious as my Sennheiser HD 280s, but at 1/3 the price of the 280s, it's hard to complain.
I like the long, un-spiraled cord and the simple, comfortable design. |
Great Headphones for $25

| These are great headphones for $25. You can buy replacement leather earpads for when they get worn, but sennheiser charges ~$10 FOR a pair. Not as good as inear earbuds. You need to crank up the volume, to get the same loudness as an inear earbud. Also bass isn't very good. Overall, though way better than ipod earbuds. |
Sennheiser HD 202 Headphones

These headphones are great. I use them for studio recording, and laying down tracks. I am a musician, and I simply needed good headphones with superb sound quality. These do the job.
I play guitar, and I am constantly writing music, so I needed a decent pair of headphones. When you record, you cannot rely on stereo speakers for basing your final sound, and mastering. These headphones have a very clean and crisp sound, while also laying down great bass. I play heavy metal, so I need all of the above. I need to hear clean crisp drum beats, double kicks, while also hearing clean crisp melodic guitar tracks, and crisp vocals. These headphones work great for all of this.
The long cord is great so you can literally walk around, like when I am laying down tracks, I can walk all the way over to my guitar cab and make the adjustments that are needed, with guitar in hand, without laying down the guitar, the headphones, then going over to do it.
Also, for this price, you cannot go wrong. I mean honestly, who is goign to waste a ton of money on headphones, like a thousand bucks, when that is complete nonsense? You know how easily accidents can happen, how easily it can only take one time to rip a cord in half, or simply have the cords short out because of too much usage. So why pay an arm and a leg for great sounding headphones, when you can get these great sounding headphones, for basically dirt cheap, and if anything happens to them, you're not out much. On top of that, you want to have something you won't be afraid to throw in your bag.
If you want great sounding headphones for recording, or if you're a DJ, or anything like that, then these are great. Just a note, if you use these in a workplace or anything, a lot of noise makes it out of these headphones when you have them on, so others around you may be bothered by it. Just a precaution. |

| While this is not the best-sounding headphones, for $20.00 I doubt you could find anything better. What really impressed me was the bass. The bass is rich and clear, something that really adds to the jazz I enjoy listening to. My complaints are the extremely long chord, and it can be slightly uncomfortable. All in all, if you have $20.00 and any need for headphones, buy these. |
