Good sounding ear buds

Review Date: February 17, 2010
Reviewer: Connie Lunsford, Waco, KY
I needed a replacement pair for ones that broke. The sound quality with these ear buds are quite good. The only problem I have is that after wearing them for a little while they become uncomfortable, but I have that problem with any in ear headphones.

Stereo Earbuds Headphones for Apple iPod music products are adequate in providing sufficient sound for listening to music.
Construction of these nifty little headphones could/would be better if they hooked around the ear as opposed to being inserted in the ear.
Because they must be inserted in the ear, the possibility and occurrence of the ear piece falling out of the ear is greater.
I find myself consistently re-adjusting and re-inserting the tiny ear piece.
DO NOT BUY THESE THEY ARE TERRIBLE

worst headphones I've ever buck.

They don't look like they do in the picture, they are crappy knockoffs. They broke within 4 days of use.

This is NOT the product in the picture. I regret not reading the reviews that back up my claim that the product sent was not the same or of any similar quality to the one in the photo. This is a scam.

I bought these because i have small ears and knew the ipod earphones are the only that fit for me, and the ones I have received are too large and useless to me. Shame on anyone who takes advantage of a thrifty buyer in this dreadful economy. You took my lunch money.
NOT EVEN THE SAME HEADPHONES

when you buy these headphones they are not the same in the picture the ones the give you suck.

Product Description

Lightweight and secure enough for vigorous active use, the MDR-J10 headphones--part of Sony's h.ear line--feature a comfortable, vertical, in-ear form, a clip-on fit that follows the contour of your ears, and a stable, non-slip design built to withstand exercising, skating, dancing, or other sports. The MDR-J10 earcups use an open-air design that lets you hear ambient sound. This ability to hear outside noises is a safety issues as much as a quality of sound issue. With these headphones, you can keep track of car horns, passing bicyclists and barking dogs.

These headphones have 13.5 mm driver units; while small enough to place comfortably inside the ear, they are also powerful units producing a nice bass sound. Neodymium magnets give the headphones maximum energy at a minimal size and weight. The MDR-J10's clip-on design is hair-friendly and keeps the size of the headphones small. Their tangle-free storage cord is adjustable, making for easy storage in a backpack, briefcase or purse. The headphones come with a 3.5-foot cord, and their L-shaped plug is tailor-made for active use and won't bend and break like an upright plug might.

Good deal

Review Date: March 7, 2010
Reviewer: gocats,
These headphones stay in my ears and sound very good.
That's just what I hoped for when I bought them.

Good fit and sound quality, but lacks durability

Review Date: March 6, 2010
Reviewer: Andreas Albeck, Somerville, MA USA
I must have gone through 7 or 8 pairs of this model in the past couple of years, and am done with them. There is a clear manufacturing defect. I guess I kept replacing them because I got them for cheap and they were usually the lightest-weight most compact headphone sports headphones that would fit.

The problem I ran into was always the same. After a couple of months (maybe a max of 6) of consistent use, mainly for working out, one earbud would invariably short out. Either the sound would cut off completely or I would get intermittent sound. Often by adjusting the position of the wire, the sound would be restored, but only if I kept the wire in a certain position manually. Having only one headphone working out of two, although annoying, was acceptable for my purposes. Usually, however, the other the headphone would quickly follow suit, rendering the product useless.
Perfect for working out

I've bought these exact same headphones three times in the past 6 years - which is meant to be a huge compliment to Sony for making a great set of reasonably-priced headphones. I use them every day either in the gym or on my morning run - they never fall off or feel uncomfortable - perfect weight and design for active use. I've had a couple pairs blow out on me, but after a couple years of heavy wear and tear, that's to be expected. The sound quality is good - not great - but is full enough to balance and complement any style of music. Because the headphones hang, they are kind of cradled in your ears, so they don't block out outside noises completely, like a lot of noise reduction headphones do. For me this is a plus - if I'm jogging, I want to be able to hear for safety reasons - cars and dogs can be a bit unforgiving if you don't they're there!
Good sound and fit but not durable

Review Date: February 28, 2010
Reviewer: Mohamed Frihi,
This must be my 5th or 6th headphones of this model. I like them for the gym and I have been using only them for my workout for over 3 years. The sound is nice and crisp, the grip on my ear is perfect. BUT one of them will shutdown after few months...it's been always the same scenario for all the ones I had. If it could just last longer! it would be the best.
Doesn't fit small ears, which I guess I have

Review Date: February 26, 2010
Reviewer: J. Walters, CA, USA
Much has been said about these headphones, so I won't go into too much detail. I did want to mention two things:

1. I had to return these earphones because they wouldn't stay on my ears at all. I've never had this problem with earphones before and was surprised.
2. Another reviewer mentioned the slider that you can use to move the split point for the two headphones. It's there and it works, but the slider doesn't work all the way down the cord.

Good head phone. Great sound!!

Reviewer: G. Lee,
I give this head phone a BIG thumbs-up. Sound quality is really good. Though, the cord is too long.
Good sound, but all plastics noises are no good

Review Date: March 3, 2010
Reviewer: F. RIVAS, Rio de Janeiro - Brazil
Well I bought it five months ago. Just to listen to music in my pc without have to spend too much with noise cancelling phones.

The sound is great. Soooo much better than my iphone in-ear and one Samson Samson CH700 Closed-Back Studio Headphones.

The sound of this phone have good bass and volume.

ok, it's a cheap phone, but all the parts in plastic together make some noise everytime you move the head. But if you like loud and heavy sound like me, this won't be a real problem :D!

The arc in top of the head make it touch your hair everytime and hurt a little bit... sometimes I have to take it and give my head some rest.

Maybe a little of leather protection can solve this issue.

But with this price there are few options with a good bass sound.

Try it, but not as your main phone.

As a main phone I recommend the MDR-V6 Sony MDR-V6 Monitor Series Headphones with CCAW Voice Coil

Rock and Roll!!!!!

Absolutely unbeatable for the price!

Review Date: March 2, 2010
Reviewer: zencatx,
I was a dedicated earbud user for many years, but I recently developed a mild case of tinnitus and I discovered that using in-ear devices was making it worse. I reluctantly decided to go back to over-ear headphones and the many positive Amazon reviews on the Sony MDR-XD200 convinced me to give them a try. I love them!! They're comfortable, easy to wear, and the sound is excellent - great bass and plenty of volume with no distortion. I was really surprised to find this kind of quality at such a bargain price, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I use this headphone for my laptop. I'm not a big fan of music, this headphone provides me enough sound quality when I playing games or watching movie. I wear glasses and it's comfortable. Nice choice for this price.
can wear them all day

Review Date: February 26, 2010
Reviewer: Anderson Council, Washington DC USA
OMG I LOVE THESE. They comfortably fit around my ear and even have a little space between the speaker and the cushion so the back of your ear fits right in. WHAT?! YES THAT'S AWESOME. Sound is also great but for me the big deal is being able to wear these for 10 hours a day, esp b/c I wear glasses and these don't press them into my head. So stop reading and click order now. They're great haha

Hard to beat these for the money

Review Date: March 10, 2010
Reviewer: JaySeaAre, Kalamazoo, MI USA
These are fantastic cans for the money. The sound is not quite as precise or spacious as my Sennheiser HD 280s, but at 1/3 the price of the 280s, it's hard to complain.

I like the long, un-spiraled cord and the simple, comfortable design.
Great Headphones for $25

Review Date: March 7, 2010
Reviewer: Roger Shek, Honolulu, HI
These are great headphones for $25. You can buy replacement leather earpads for when they get worn, but sennheiser charges ~$10 FOR a pair. Not as good as inear earbuds. You need to crank up the volume, to get the same loudness as an inear earbud. Also bass isn't very good. Overall, though way better than ipod earbuds.
Sennheiser HD 202 Headphones

Review Date: March 4, 2010
Reviewer: Vestige, PA
These headphones are great. I use them for studio recording, and laying down tracks. I am a musician, and I simply needed good headphones with superb sound quality. These do the job.

I play guitar, and I am constantly writing music, so I needed a decent pair of headphones. When you record, you cannot rely on stereo speakers for basing your final sound, and mastering. These headphones have a very clean and crisp sound, while also laying down great bass. I play heavy metal, so I need all of the above. I need to hear clean crisp drum beats, double kicks, while also hearing clean crisp melodic guitar tracks, and crisp vocals. These headphones work great for all of this.

The long cord is great so you can literally walk around, like when I am laying down tracks, I can walk all the way over to my guitar cab and make the adjustments that are needed, with guitar in hand, without laying down the guitar, the headphones, then going over to do it.

Also, for this price, you cannot go wrong. I mean honestly, who is goign to waste a ton of money on headphones, like a thousand bucks, when that is complete nonsense? You know how easily accidents can happen, how easily it can only take one time to rip a cord in half, or simply have the cords short out because of too much usage. So why pay an arm and a leg for great sounding headphones, when you can get these great sounding headphones, for basically dirt cheap, and if anything happens to them, you're not out much. On top of that, you want to have something you won't be afraid to throw in your bag.

If you want great sounding headphones for recording, or if you're a DJ, or anything like that, then these are great. Just a note, if you use these in a workplace or anything, a lot of noise makes it out of these headphones when you have them on, so others around you may be bothered by it. Just a precaution.

While this is not the best-sounding headphones, for $20.00 I doubt you could find anything better. What really impressed me was the bass. The bass is rich and clear, something that really adds to the jazz I enjoy listening to. My complaints are the extremely long chord, and it can be slightly uncomfortable. All in all, if you have $20.00 and any need for headphones, buy these.
